DURATION: 4 WEEKS

OVERVIEW

In today’s modern world, projects are now seen as the motivity behind achieving objectives, innovation and expansion. However, one of the unique characteristics of a project is the convergence of a specific set of diverse people with a variety of pre-determined skills. People are eventually selected to become a team based upon the value they deliver.

As organisations continue to become more global and diverse,  the complexity of project environs has led to a growing demand for people with expertise in project management. In fact, the leading contributing factor to project failure has been reported by some
organisations to be the lack of talented people with the right skill set.

Project management is no longer only about the core focus of delivering projects on time, within budget and scope; but rather how a project manager operates with influence, works collaboratively with stakeholders and drives change. These require, not just mastery of project terminologies and tools, but also soft skills such as communication, political anwarwness and emotional intelligence as much needed skills to develop.

The core competencies required to effectively demonstrate any of these traits will be covered in this course.

The project management course is a 4-week instructor-led online course targeted at individuals who want to progress their career in project
management. The modules will be delivered over 4 weekends, with ongoing mini projects to be assigned during the week before the following week’s session.

A help-line will also be provided during specific hours through out the period of the course.
